Last night was the opening celebrations of Winterlude. I wasn't even planning on going, but I'm so glad I did! I have got to say, these were the BEST fireworks I have ever seen in Ottawa. There was tons of stuff going on at the Museum of Civilization, and after the fireworks there was a DJ spinning outside in a bubble. Yes, it was pretty darn cold, but still lots of fun!

update: just getting around to putting up a few more pics of Nadia...As you can see, Oliver jumped in on the fun (as always!)
Nadia came to visit me this weekend from Montreal, so I took the chance to get her in front of the camera and have a fun shoot! I'm still working on some of the images, but here is a little preview!

(isn't she gorgeous???!!!)

This weekend I got to put on the cap of real estate photographer. Here are some shots from the condo I did--if you happen to be looking for a great place in the market, just let me know and I can give you the info!

These are a few shots I took on photowalks in the fall. I'm fascinated by how a play of light can turn a very commonplace thing into something fabulous :)

One of the highlights of our trip to Halifax was getting to see Renee after 2 years! She now has the cutest boy ever, Sebastian, who just turned one. Check out this precious mother and son moment...

A few months ago Matt and I jumped in the car with our friends Dave and Jess on a last-minute trip to Halifax. We drove 14 hours there and 14 hours back in one weekend. Needless to say, we were exhausted, but had a great time. It was Matt's first time out east, so we made sure to visit Peggy's Cove. Here are some pics!

Those who know me well now that I have been an avid photographer for a long time now. My first real photography experience began in high school when I learned to develop my own film and make my own prints in the darkroom. Since those days, many things have changed! In 2009 I got my first dSLR, and have had a lot of fun playing around with it. I have never really shared my work, but I am ready to change that with this blog. I have long done a lot of nature, still-life, and abstract work. Now I am looking to expand my portfolio to include portraits--maternity, newborn, couples, weddings, etc. Stay tuned here as I add my new work and share some of my older stuff.
