Night shoot round II

I've been out on a few night shoots with the photo club at work and it's been really productive for me. I'm not sure why but I just seem to be in my element at night, even though the temperature can drop down and it gets chilly fast! I"m posting the second night's shots since I'm kind of more excited about them. I've been going out lots since sunset almost coincides perfectly with when I get off work...but not for long!

cyclist shot is perfect timing, exposure and focus
I think I want to try that and flash the cyclist (off camera flash - not a trench-coat flash). You know this would be so cool to do at the airport with planes at the end of the runway

what is supposed to come out of those exhaust pipes? they look like truck mufflers

ok, deleted my original response...
but thanks!
flash would be good because it would be more obvious what the light is all about.

I might go to Alert road with a tripod one night..forget the flash, wouldn't be close enough anyway. Cycling + flash+trail lights is in mind for next summer 24 hrs of adrenaline race.

for some reason I had a hard time deciphering your comment...

didn't realize alert rd is by the airport. i thought, close enough to what? got it. planes. yeah, flashing pilots probably not good idea. can you see stuff from there? could be cool.

and this race...in alberta?? huh?

sorry, I was rambling...not sure if it's possible anymore, but I used to park at the end of the runway on alert rd and watch the planes land / takeoff overhead

might put a team together next summer for fun
